Halloween Challenge, Day 4: R.I.P. (poem)

This is my entry for day 4 of the 31 Days of Halloween writing challenge hosted by Fluture over at Flutter by Literature (You are a bounty hunter, write your own obituary)

Be sure to check out my other entries day 1, day 2, day 3!

James T. Hunter has saddly passed,

Of what we dare not say…

At 40 years, he’s gone too fast,

Oh help his soul we pray…

Survived by none, his life too short,

He never settled down…

Instead he traced the evil sort,

And saved this quiet town…

A service time to pay respects,

We’ll hold tomorrow morn…

Then bury him where he expects,

The place where he was born.

Well, it flows nice but seems to need something more ghoulish for halloween. What do you think?

  1. Thank you for this lovely submission! It’s great as always. I would just kindly ask for you to comment under Day Four (I’ll post it in just a second!). Thank you!
