Halloween Challenge, Day 24: Grim’s Guilty Pleasure (poem)

Ah the Grim Reaper,

Taker of souls…

Not quite a creeper,

Nobody fools…

Works day and night,

In this thankless job…

Not meant to fright,

But scares the whole mob…

Tries to ease fears,

Tries to be chipper…

So daily he wears,

His pink bunny slippers

If you see the Grim Reaper, sorry for your luck, but be sure to sneak a peak at those fabulous slippers!

This is my entry for Day 24 of the 31 Days of Halloween writing challenge (the Grim Reaper’s guilty pleasure?) Hosted over at Flutter by Literature. Head over and check out all the wonderful entries this year!

  1. Ah, too bad the grim reaper in Book Thief didn’t have some fabulous pink slippers. I think it would have made the book even better!
