Rose of Sharon, now in bloom,
Cheers the heart, reduces gloom…
Quite profound, one might propose,
The ton of joy, from a rose…
Somewhat small and simple thing,
Yet makes your soul start to sing…
So here we are, here we think,
Wonderful, this bloom of pink.

Welcome, Sun, into this day,
We’re glad to see you here…
Spread your light, chase out the gray,
Away you send our fear…
Warming now your presence be,
The chill flees at your sight…
Uncovering much to see,
Bathed in your morning light.

Tiny treasures in a bunch,
Set the world aglow…
With their bright and cheerful punch,
Putting on a show…
Snow white blooms with yellow eyes,
Lit up by the sun…
Dancing under breezy skies,
Having lots of fun!

Floral fashion on display,
It really draws the eye…
Maroon or mauve,who can say,
I know I dare not try…
Open now for all to see,
Quite worthy of a gaze…
Hold on tight, the memory,
To help get through the days.
