Scene: Dubious Packaging

[Begin Scene]

A warm afternoon, the blue sky dotted with puffy clouds…

Nestled in a bed of drying tan grasses is an interesting plant with what appears to be medieval implements of war at the ready…

Looking like something intended to end life, rather than harbor the beginnings of next year’s life are some dubious seed pods…

Covered in spines nearly completely around the seeds within are well protected…

Should anything get too close and become attached, they will likely travel some distance before sprouting anew in the spring, as these pods double as a means to be spread…

The scene reminds that fall offers beauty in textures even where color is not on display.
